  • I was recently visiting a fellow blogger and was so impressed with her wonderful post of 101 things to do in 1001 days.   I had seen a couple of others doing a similar project, and wow - am I ever inspired!!  I have always had life goals, and have used the website 43 Things to set my "dream goals" and you know what?  Every time I placed a goal in there, I would complete it!  I did this while beginning my very first business as a boutique owner, and I believe the great success I achieved was because of that list.

Setting goals is so important to getting from where we are to where we truly want to be.  Even if it's an outlandish goal, you will be amazed how life takes a turn toward those smaller steps in achieving it.  Listen to those whispers in life - chances are you may be closer than you think!

Some of my goals might seem a little crazy, but I'm in this for the long haul.  1001 days is actually almost three years - I think I can accomplish about 95% of the goals on this list...  Now these are not written in stone, but rather in sand.  Life takes us on journeys that may change our goals over time, so I can only hope that they will happen OR something better.  What about you?  Do you have a life list?  If not, it's about time you begin listening to your heart, and go after what you want most in life.

I love that you broke your "Things to do" into sections. I would have to really think long and hard about the things I want to do. One thing I really want to do is publish my memoir..(first, I'd have to finish it first) but I'm working on that and so many other things it's hard to keep things straight!

New laptop or Ipad is on my list too. Still debating between the Ipad and a new Macbook.
    Good luck with your list

WOW!!! I'm saving this to my favorites for inspiration. Great list!!

@KG - Well, I am a list-maker LOL.. right up my ally :) Your memoir sounds great!!

@Recycling - It is a dilemma for sure...

@Alicia - Thanks :) Would love to see yours!

I love the fun and colorful camera strap. That would be on my list, as also, a lot of weight and fitness goals. I have ran a 10K and a half, have dreamed of doing a tri.
I also LOVE the swim with the sting rays. My favorite place in the world - Grand Cayman - has that. I have been twice and never got to do it! The first time I was too busy at the beach and the second time the weather got crappy the day we were heading out, so our tour got canceled.

I am sooooo glad to read this list. Julie is one inspiring lady and so are you!

Yes, get an iPad and then tell me how wonderful it is.

Renee, I so wish that we lived near each other! When I saw the "meet Oprah" I had to giggle! I also knew that we were kindred souls because that's one of my crazy dreams as well. I love and can relate to all of your list! Surfing, running, rowing... Dancing. Vegas, champagne in France and Greece!!! *Sigh* Etc!

On the Ipad- my honest opinion is that it's a waste of money. It doesn't do everything that a computer does nor a phone. It's a very expensive web browser. I would wait until they come out with the new improved Ipad (ya know it's coming eventually) that can do everything. Then again as my boyfriend the IT geek says, it's a great toy if you have a disposable income. JMO.

On a different note (been disputing the above topic with my guy for a while, lol) Have a very happy Friday! :)

LOL Sonya ~ If you get the chance, it is a real rush! I've done it a few times & whenever we return to CR it's at the top of my list :)

I think we have a lot in common Crystal & Wendy! I wish we lived closer too - maybe you can come to SoCal sometime and hang ten with me!

Angelia - that is awesome!! I can't wait to cross that finish line...

    I made a 101 in 1001 list. Here it is: http://dayzeroproject.com/user/dutch84

I'm having trouble coming up with 101 things that I want to do, though. There are things I want to do, but I'm worried that they are impossible, so I don't put them on there. Maybe I should be daring and aim higher. lol

    Great list you got there!

    @Home-Mom said...

so I may not start with 101 but I think I could def do 10. the point is just to get started right? Inspiring is right too just looking at the very first goal to surf the pipeline I was like hmmm there are some things I have put way out of reach. Time to reel it in ;)
10 things to do in 100 days I'll be posting soon

That's a fun list! I started a 101 list a couple of years ago and all but forgot about it. That's why I decided to try the 65 list this year. I'm having more success with it. Not because it's easier, but because I hold myself publicly accountable every single week.

This is a really interesting list - good luck with it. I collect Moleskines too - well, I collect any kind of nice notebook. I have far too many - I need to fill mine up too! :-)
